Hamlet – Act 1, Scene 1
Hamlet
The first stage of our Shakespeare study is under way - and our iconoclastic approach to the study of these seminal texts continues as we explore the notion that even Hamlet can fit the classification of a teenage anti-hero.
The first function of our study is to keep a clear record of the events of the play via scene summaries. This will allow us both to concentrate on, and record, key sequences, as well as to develop the skill of summarising. Throughout these exercises there will be a focus on precision and careful selection of detail that is relevant to our study.
